guest rant #2:
    rant 3
    january 13 1998.

    holy good gosh goodness!

made it to a second rant!

and Poots made it to level three of Mario Kart !!!

Poots has made the transition from PAC Man (circa turn of the century) to the wonderously nauseating world of solid modelling. Poot hoots. Enough burnt-sienna-nosing ... on e-with the e-rant.

Feeling rather contented and peaceful in a city of degenerates raised on the misfortune of others and the adulation of violence. Houston mentioned the awful things that were happening back in the homeland of Poots and I, and so I mentioned that even the hockey game was cancelled last Sat. night owing to the ice-storm/outages . Hockey cancellation??? unheard of . So I goes and tells him that we were at the game infact . Last night, at the bloody Western Forum in lovely downtown Inglewood, indeed (Kings vs. Ducks). Poots and I attended, both of our last hockey games being in Montréal. So Houston asked me how the "show" was and I sincerely had to tell him that I thought the "miced" (microphoned) boards (to get the "boom" effect of a puck or check) were simply over the top. We then discussed the terrible, terrible phenomenon of the glowing puck on TSN or whatever they call the sports channel here and he reiterated the belief that les Americains simplements are truly living in their own perception of reality, and what a hockey game should be (point de vue Americain: le chequing ( they love cheques here) et le fighting (they love fighting)).
The kids at the game were crying for blood and fights.

Absolute disregard for human suffering, tragedy or any sense of morality/mortality ... even their own. Bottom line . . . clueless to the end, even their own end. A society raised on Roller Derby and Wrasslin. People here are so confused (read: eager to read) about suffering. Poots and I are severely concerned about the indifference toward violence and the intolerance of racially motivated groups here in L.A. This city owes itself to be a better place than it has been forced to be by neglect and greed from the TOPdown. I love it, I hate it. I guess what I really hate is what we are doing with it, and someday they will look back and cry at what we did to this beautiful city and they will shake their heads in disbelief at the awful things we did to the valleys and beaches and each other. I guess I'll take this back to my home and try to save my own city from a similar fate. Problem is, this is starting to feel like home ... HA!
