Profile
As a single person architectural practice I am thoroughly involved in
every phase of a project, from initial client discussions through design,
construction drawings, selection of builder, permits procedure and finally
construction itself. I take on a limited number of projects a year, in
order to be able to devote my full attention to each one. Besides my own
twenty plus years of practice experience I draw on the expertise of a
range of design, technical and engineering consultants as each project
requires, providing a personal and complete service from start to finish.
I have a reputation for imaginative and varied design, carefully detailed,
and refined to suite each client's requirements.

Philosophy
Good design is not an imposition of pre-conceived ideas; it grows naturally
out of the individual circumstances of client, buildings purpose, and
site. The expression and character of a design should flow in and out
of the function and spatial problem solving aspects of the design as a
seamless whole. Though the parts are important in themselves, the design
is primarily the relation of the parts to a conceptual whole; as notes
in music become meaningful because of their relation to each other.

of life" - Frank Lloyd Wright
